Earlier this spring, Table Mountain Outfitters ran a giveaway that had the hunting community buzzing, a fully guided 5-day Idaho spring bear hunt, valued at $4,350, complete with lodging, meals, guide service, and a pack of experienced hounds. Hunters from across the country entered for their shot at one of the most unique and memorable hunts we offer.
To enter, hunters followed TMO on Instagram and YouTube, tagged a friend on the giveaway post, shared to their stories, and had the option to sign up for the TMO newsletter for a bonus entry. The response was incredible, and on April 20th, we had a winner.
Meet Gavin Holmes
Gavin Holmes won the TMO Idaho Spring Bear Hunt giveaway, and he didn’t waste any time making the most of it.
Gavin made the trip out to the Southwest mountains of Idaho, settled into camp, and got to work. Mornings were spent running hounds with our experienced pack, and evenings were set up on well-placed baits. Two opportunities every day, just like we promised.
It paid off, when Gavin tagged out on his spring bear.

Our Southwest Idaho areas consistently produce color phase bears, and spring coats are thicker and fuller than fall, which makes this the best time of year to be in the mountains after one.
Gavin trusted the process, listened to his guides, and made it count when it mattered. We couldn’t be more proud to have been a part of his hunt.
